On August 8, 2022, the groundbreaking ceremony for the North American plant of Camel Energy Manufacturing Michigan, a subsidiary of Camel Group, was held at Battle Creek.

The North American factory project is located in Battle Creek, Michigan, USA, with a total area of 240 acres and a project investment of more than 20 million US dollars. After the factory is completed, it will have an annual production capacity of 2 million advanced automotive batteries.

The construction of the North American factory means that Camel North America will officially become a local battery manufacturer from an importer of batteries, taking an important step for the internationalization and localization strategy of Camel batteries. Camel will also gradually enter the core of local OEMs. supplier, and plans to supply the 2024MY xEV.

The North American plant is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in the first quarter of 2023.
